Chicken burgers

I always try to make things that we can easily buy. So, I bought some chicken mince and was thinking of things to make… I checked the net and eventually came up with this…

Chicken burgers recipe:
1/2 kilo chicken mince
3/4 cup bread crumbs
1 small onion
1 tsp crushed garlic
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp dhana/jeera
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 Tblsp Soy sauce
1 tsp italian herbs, heaped
2-3 tsp crushed green chillies
1 Tblsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
Salt to taste

Lightly rinse the chicken mince. If you over rinse it it holds too much of water and becomes very difficult to work with. In a food processor tear a few slices of bread and whizz until you have bread crumbs. You can chop the onion in the food processor – saves the tears :). Add all ingredients to the mince and mix well. Chicken mince is very sticky on the hands. Get enough in your hand and shape into patties. Toss in bread crumbs. Reshape. It’s easier to shape while tossing in the bread crumbs. Fry in shallow oil until firm to the touch and golden on each side.

Serving suggestion: cut bun open. Drizzle mayonnaise or Spur’s french fry sauce. Add lettuce, avocado, cheese, patty, tomato and nandos sauce. Yummilicious!
