Soji & Vermicelli Dessert

I have never even heard about this dish until a friend of mine mentioned it – served at a wedding of course so no recipe I could get. Searching the internet… Didn’t find anything and so I tried my best to get an idea of what it could be… Gave it a try and it was devine…

1/2 cup semolina
1/2 cup vermicelli
1 cup milk
3/4 tin condensed milk
1/2 cup coconut
3/4 tsp cardamon powder
2 elachi pods
1 cinnamon stick
65g butter
Method:
Melt the butter with cinnamon and elachi pods. Braise the semolina then add the vermicelli and cook for another 5 minutes (let it brown a bit). Then add milk, condensed milk and coconut. Cook on low till the mixture has thickened and leaves the sides of the pot. Add cardamon powder and mix through.
Serve topped with cream and almonds. Best of both worlds!
