Fried chicken with Mash and gravy is so moreish and super delicious. It really doesn’t take much time to prepare.
My daughter loves this dish and I have to make sure it served in a saved KFC container – lol, kids!
4 medium potatoes
Pierce potatoes, place on to a plate and pop into the microwave. Cook until done. Peel potatoes, add butter, salt and a pinch of baking powder. Mix well then add milk, just enough to make a soft fluffy mash.
1 tablespoon bistro chicken gravy
Mix above together. A medium consistency gravy is best.
Chicken pieces, any you prefer
1 cup flour
1 tsp aromat
1 tsp thyme or any herb you like
1/2 tsp lemon pepper
1 tsp Portuguese spice
1/2 tsp bbq spice
1 tsp garlic salt
1/4 tsp ginger powder, optional
Salt to taste
Boil chicken in water, salt, pepper and crushed garlic for 10-15 minutes. Leave to cool. When you ready to fry your chicken, remove from the water, pat dry, roll in flour, dip in egg and roll in flour again and fry until golden.
