Vegetable Samoosas

dsc_01212

Its been samoosa week for me… Started off with the most popular mince, then yummy chicken and then on to this divine veggie option. It’s super delicious and with the kick of heat with a bit of cheesiness… Drooling yet!

You don’t have to add the chilli if you prefer spice but not the heat. The taste of the spices are beautiful subtle and just enough flavour to compliment it all.

You will need:

1 medium onion
3 medium potatoes
2 cups mixed vegetable
1 teaspoon aromat
1/2 heaped teaspoon crushed jeera
1/2 heaped teaspoon crushed dhana
1/2 teaspoon tumeric powder
1 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon crushed dried red chillies
1 teaspoon ginger garlic
1/2 teaspoon white pepper
Crushed green chillies
1 cup grated cheese
Salt to taste

Peel and slice the onion. Sauté in a little oil and whole jeeroo seeds. When onions are soft add ginger garlic then add half a teaspoon mustard seeds. When it’s starts to splatter add peeled and thinly sliced potatoes. Add masala and some water and leave to cook. When the potatoes are half way done, add the mixed vegetable. When the potatoes are soft and the water has dried up remove from heat and leave to get hold. Add green chillies and chopped dhania. When filling is cold, add cheese. (I used mozzarella with a little gouda)

Fill pur, fry and enjoy.
