500g mutton mince
2 flat tsp chilli powder
1 heaped tsp coriander powder
1 heaped tsp cumin powder
1 flat tsp tumeric powder
1 tsp crushed ginger/garlic
2 slices bread
1 medium sized onion
1 tsp crushed green chillies
Half bunch fresh coriander
Salt to taste
Wash and drain mince well. Grate onion, squeeze out excess water and add to mince. Wet the bread, squeeze out excess water, mash and add to mince. Now add rest of ingredients. Mix mince mixture properly until all ingredients are well combined.
Roll into balls.
TOMATO CHUTNEY
Heat oil in flat pot, add rolled kebabs and fry on medium heat. When halfway/almost cooked through remove. In same oil add onions and fry till light brown. Add 2 grated tomatoes, 1/2 tsp chilli powder, 1/4 tsp tumeric powder, salt and 1/4 tsp crushed garlic – mix and add kebabs to pot – leave to simmer. When oil starts to come to the top then the chutney is done. Make sure the kebabs are cooked.
Fry potato wedges and add to kebab chutney. Top with fresh coriander.
Serve with roti.
